I want to share an excitement!!

I began learn “kintsugi” last year.
“Kintsugi” is a repair technique for ceramics and lacquered ware.
I am studying at the “Kintsugi” classroom in Fukuoka, [ Naosu, tsukuru. ]
[ Naosu,tsukuru. ] is Tomoko Komatsu‘s “Kintsugi” classroom and workshop.
She is repairer by “Kintsugi” and maker article of gold lacquer work.
I wanted to introduce her and “Kintsugi”.
Especially about the sprit rather than the technique.
Also I want to exchange ideas with you.
But I have to lean English to tell you.
At the international workshop 3years ago, I couldn’t speak at all.
I wanted to talk about technology and the sprit of the work,
but I couldn’t even say hello.
I deeply regretted.

Happily, both the instructor and the participants were very very kind to me.
Thanks to them, I still lean calligraphy, bookbinding and English!!
I decide to write blog in English.
(Very very hard for me!! But, I’ll do it!)
This is my new goal this year.
It will not be long before we enjoy to exchange ideas.
And then I will tell you more about Tomoko Komatsu and “Kintsugi”.

今年は英語でブログを更新する決心をしました。
昨年、金継ぎを習い始めました。
箱崎にある金継ぎ教室「なおす、つくる。」さんにお世話になっています。
ここは小松知子氏の金継ぎ教室であり、工房です。
彼女は金継ぎによる修復と蒔絵の作品を作っています。
教わるうちに、彼女と金継ぎを紹介したくなってきたのです。
技術面よりも、特に金継ぎという彼女の考え方について
海外の友人たちと意見を交わしたくなりました。
しかし、そのためには、私が英語を学ぶ必要があります。
3年前のインターナショナルワークショップの際、
私は全く英語が話せませんでした。
本当は、技術やその作品の深い内容について話したかったのに、
挨拶一つままならないのです。
非常に後悔したことを覚えています。

幸いなことに、講師、参加者達がとても親切にしてくれました。
彼らのおかげで、カリグラフィー、製本、そして英語‼︎を学び続けています。
英語でブログを更新する！
（めちゃくちゃハードな目標設定をしてしまった！！でも、やらねば！）
これが今年の私の新たな目標です。
きっと近いうちに会話を楽しめるようになるはず！！
そして、その時には小松知子氏と金継ぎについて、もっと詳しくお伝えしたいです。
